Saturated Shades: Spring's New Colorful Makeup

Start by evening your skin out with foundation or concealer where needed. "We're going to use bright colors on the eyes and lips so we want the skin to be flawless," said Vanngo.

The first look uses a sheer, bright wash of color on the lids in the form of a cream eye shadow. Vanngo started by applying it in a chartreuse shade from the lash line to the crease.

Vanngo skipped blush, instead opting for bronzer to contour the cheeks. "There's a lot of color on the lips and eyes so leave the cheeks neutral," he said.

Vanngo finishes the look off with sheer tangerine lip color.

The final look is bright, but subtle since the formulas are sheer. "It's green eye shadow and orange lipstick, so it could have read scary," said Vanngo. "Since we used sheer formulas and kept the rest of the face very clean, it looks more fresh and modern."

"This look is inspired by the look I did for Rose Byrne at the SAG Awards this year," said Vanngo. He starts by using a double-ended eyeliner, first applying the dark shade on the outer corners of the lid.

Using a small, dense brush, Vanngo smudges the color outwards to elongate the eye.

“You can also smudge with your finger,” he said. “Just be careful not to tug too hard.”

He then applied the lighter color from the duo to the bottom lash line, from outer to inner eye.

Vanngo used the lilac and pink shades from the new CK One spring quad, first applying the pink shade from lash line to brow bone and following up with the lilac shade in the outer corner. “The brown eyeliner we applied earlier will add the definition we need,” he said.

Once you're done with the color, apply two generous coats of mascara to the top and bottom lashes after curling.

"I want to keep the cheeks soft for this," said Vanngo. "We're just going to use bronzer and a little bit of highlighter."

If this is your first time wearing color, you can finish the look off by applying a sheer pink lip balm. To get the look Byrne had, just apply a brighter lip shade.

"I used a bright pink lipstick on Rose," said Vanngo. "Again, it's a lot of color, but it works together."

The final look is impactful but still wearable.
